Who said that the French were mad ????? :-)))

Post by Kwai chang caine »

Here's the surprising story of Emile Leray He left for a solo raid in Africa with a 2CV he prepared for shipment.
After a few days, he is forced to leave the track to get around a restricted area. It's rolling off-piste that destroyed a rail and a wheel arm of his car against a rock.
The 2CV can go no further. He decides to convert its motorcycle 2CV to continue the road.
The first night he is considering how to go about it.
Without drill or torch, the mission is not easy.
But finally all alone, with only a few tools, it succeeds in producing an incredible machine in ten days.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

You have to understand the Germans in order to love them,
you have to love the French in order to understand them.

Hah! I especially love the fact that he retained the rear number plate - Not just keeping it *real* but keeping it road legal too - presumably, without correct registration - he might have had some car insurance *issues*

But hey! a lesson for all eco-warriors out there - recycling doesn't work, reusing does - Emile LeRay - what a legend!
