native cross platform transparent gadgets and windows

Hi,
is it possible to add a native cross platform command for transparency of gadgets and windows in a future update ?
If it's not possible for all kinds of gadgets, it would be a great feature for the new canvas gadget.

In most cases I have to use ImageGadgets instead of Canvas... cause there is no transparency.
So I support this regret.
