I'm just curious, kind of expanding upon my other curiosity...
Are there any other PB coders looking for work? (Consulting or employment.) If so, what other languages do you know, and where (in general) do you live?
Again, just curious...are we "all" hobbyists?
Any PB coders looking for work?
Re: Any PB coders looking for work?
well, I tend to use PB as a hobby language, but I'm working in the field here in Australia; and although I know several languages (C, C++, C#, Java, etc), work requires me to only use one... COBOL

Re: Any PB coders looking for work?
Personally, I think PB is good enough to be more than a hobby language ("BrainFuck" is also a hobby language but what can it do?). Personally I think that the WinAPI makes PB a crucial programming language for any company because the language has a "KISS" philosophy behind it.
Re: Any PB coders looking for work?
Always looking for work, but there is zero demand for PureB programmers.
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories.

Not true.Kuron wrote:there is zero demand for PureB programmers.
Every now and then there is someone asking in the German and English forum for paid work with PureBasic. I don't know how it is on real job market websites but I doubt you know it either...
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!
Re: Any PB coders looking for work?
I read several of them regularly along with the classifieds in several papers. I have never seen an ad seeking a PuerB programmer.c4s wrote:I don't know how it is on real job market websites but I doubt you know it either...
I don't visit the German forums, but I have never seen what could remotely be considered a legitimate paid job offer for PureB programmers on the English forums.

You didn't try a search with "paid work" on this forum, did you?Kuron wrote:I don't visit the German forums, but I have never seen what could remotely be considered a legitimate paid job offer for PureB programmers on the English forums.

Like I said: I have never seen what could remotely be considered a legitimate paid job offer for PureB programmers on the English forums. Your links have merely reinforced my words.Shardik wrote:You didn't try a search with "paid work" on this forum, did you?Kuron wrote:I don't visit the German forums, but I have never seen what could remotely be considered a legitimate paid job offer for PureB programmers on the English forums.
