Sadly, based on the pictures of him from a month or so back, it was just a matter of when. 56 is way too young. Steve did what nobody else has ever been able to do and that is dethrone Microsoft from the #1 position. RIP Steve.
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories. ♥️

I may not like Apple or Steve Jobs but this is sad, he was way too young to die being only three years older than me.

As soon after retiring as this happened, I would bet he knew it was coming and wanted to see a new CEO established at Apple before his time was up.

R.I.P., Steve, my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

How do you figure that? Windows is still the dominant OS and IOS is loosing ground to both Windows Phone 7 and Android.

Steve Jobs is gone

Post by codewalker »

Hi,
Steve is gone, even his billions couldn't cure the cancer in his body. Makes me realize again how
short life actually is, it's over before you know it. What are we really ? A very small little gear in
a huge world stage, allowed to run with it for a short time only to be replaced by another one.
Only people like Steve Jobs change the world stage, but only for a short time. The masses are
always looking for something new, a new toy, a new fashion, trend, hype, always something new.
After the i-Phone there will be the i-Thought, no more finger sweeping but fully thought controlled.
Everybody has to make a living during his life but what you can try is to make from your hobby
your work. So your daily working hours will be more of a pleasure. So, here I am, sitting behind
my big laptop studying api calls from within purebasic, customizing drupal themes, php, etc. etc.
thinking that somehow it all makes some sense - wtf.
greetings

Chuck Peddle said "There's nothing nice about Steve Jobs and there's nothing evil about Bill Gates".
I think he was right at that time, but Jobs changed a lot during the years, and I believe he was a better person in the second half of his life.
He certainly was a unique person able to inspire who worked with him and he wasn't afraid to risk and go against the status quo, in many fields.
"Have you tried turning it off and on again ?"

I truly hope they are not actually saying this. Because it sounds like a cheap marketing gimmick to justify why there is no iPhone 5 or w/e the sheeple were expecting.

something you should see

Post by codewalker »

:
My brother sent me this link today. It's a 14 min. speech of Steve Jobs
and after seeing it, I think you also should see it for what he is saying
to all of us.

That speech has been all over the news and the Internet, I believe most, if not all, of us have seen it at least once, if not several times.

Nice site, "Business News without the Bullshit" and uses the whole article as an anti-Microsoft jab.

The United States Government broke Microsofts Monopoly, not Steve Jobs

If you are interessted in Apple, Microsoft, Jobs, Wozniak, Gates. There is a very good movie about how it started: pirates of silicon valley
