I think it's France, because a French cheque can be accepted for payment and PB is to programming as Zinidine Zidane is to total football.

Very curious matter. Google don't know either. Does Bib Ladin use PureBasic? One would think that a company this big would want investors to know where to send the check.

Really, does it matter?!
Well, a guy in another programming language forums said 'I will go with the programming language made in the US' when someone compared that language to PureBasic, which is very weird!

That guy philosophy is very enlightening and can help people make great decisions...LOL
Even better it can save many developers like Fred (who are not US native) a lot of time and effort and help them to stop or not even start any new projects because they are not welcomed and no chance for them against US programmers.

Well skywalk, I'm not a politician but I can safely say that many people outside of the USA would not completely agree with you about 'many of your freedoms are from the USA'. Sphinx was not being derogatory about the USA, he/she was simply saying that there are better ways to judge the value of something other than it's country of origin. That's a positive message that I and my fellow Europeans should listen to, too.

@IdeasVacuum - I am no politician either(quite the opposite really), but I can read between the lines.

Off topic:
Coming from a proud American -- a lot of people in the world(including Americans) don't seem to understand that America is basically everyone from every possible nationality smashed up into one big ball of land. So if you dislike Americans(and vice versa) you are only disliking your own nationality.
I personally am proud of my heritage like many others in the world are proud of their own heritage too. There is nothing wrong with having pride in who you are.

Thanks IdeasVaccum, this is exactly what I intended to say in the first place.
I have nothing against American people (actually I have many good friends from the US and I am sure Americans are good people, well, most of them like many other countries!)

I am encouraged by your reply.

I stumbled upon PureBasic over two years ago and when I first tried it out, I fell in love with it. Fred has done a great job and he has stuck with it--both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Sometimes when programming for the U.S. Defense Department, I'm not allowed to use software produced outside the US when programming sensitive code. However, for the most part, PB is solid and comprehensive, and I use it alot.

In general, I enjoy the international flavor of the PB language and the forum. The diversity is good and I think PB leverages this diversity to good advantage. Interacting with others from all over the world brings a much richer experience than would otherwise be possible.

In the workplace, I've worked with a number of Egyptions and they are great people and in general, very reasonable supporters of Western products such as PB, etc. When I was in the Army, I had two close Iranian friends that trained with us. When the Shaw was overthrown back in the 70's, my two friends were shot by the incoming regime, as were a number of their fellow countrymen. I miss them since we often corresponded with each other after they went home.

Anyway, I lived in Germany for five years while in the Army and often visited the UK, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and so forth and wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Every country had great things to offer and I liked the various cultures, food, and products each offered. I even got to go through Egypt, Iraq, and other Middle-Eastern Countries back in the early nineties. Very beautiful places with people aspiring for the same things we want. I felt very welcome everywhere I traveled.

I've traveled Canada and Mexico extensively for both business and pleasure and love both countries. Next year my wife and I want to go down under and visit Australia and New Zealand. Can't wait.

Here's to all the friends I've made all over the world. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
