Bad move from French GOV

Post by codewalker »

The future of the internet doesn't look good. French GOV wants to change the law
so that it can shut down websites without a court and without a judge.
Of course we all are against the negative effects of porn on the net, but we all know
once this law is established it will be used against other websites as well, simply
because it will be possible. Besides that, this is not the way to block porn,
it doesn't work because of so many workarounds. But surely the GOV knows that,
so this is going to be internet sensorship the same bad way that China is doing.

The French WANTS to shut things down, US companies DO IT. Block payments to WikiLeaks and refuses to host them. They don't wait for new laws either, they just shut them down if they don't like them.

I don't know what's worst, probably the latter version of Capitalist censorship. It's worse than
communism if you ask me, no democratic control, they just answer to dollars.

Do not believe hysteria. But be absolutely hysterical about freedom of speech.

What that guy speaks about doesn't matter much nowadays. Money talks, and companies
runs the US, not the people like in ordinary democracies, thats my opinion.

Check again...there is also another Paul in office. Ron Paul's son just became a US Senator!
I'd say their philosophy is starting to sink in...and they write the law.

Thing is, governments once started as a service for the public but they turned
into corporations serving their own agendas. Since 911, year after year they take away
civil and democratic rights from the people. Look how they already narrowed down
your freedom of speech, public opinion and expression. And now they start to narrow
down the internet. Wikileaks is a perfect example of trying to bring back the balance.
We should really stop voting as usual but start to vote for a political party that wants
the internet neutral, open and for everybody. Illegal downloaders and websites should
not be disconnected from the internet just like that but brought to justice just like
any other crime.
