Trying to install the onboard webcam on my Asus netbook 1005HA, and hitting this error message. I'm totally clueless on how to fix it. Anybody who has any suggestions for me?

I've been trying all solutions I've stumbled upon, except for doing a full re-install, but frankly I'm getting close to that moment...
(WinXP Pro, Asys EEE 1005HA).

Re: Class driver has denied request
Sounds to me like a registry corruption. You might try doing a system restore to an earlier time, seems a reasonable try that won't hurt anything.
