Having two NVidia cards, 295GTX and 9600GT, together

Post by doctorized »

I have the above cards. I want to use 295 as my primary card and 9600 as PhysX dedicated. I have found many forums talking about it but I cannot find a way to set up my system correctly. I have two screens, a LG 17" and a Samsung 15".
I want to use the LG as primary. I tried to boot with the LG on 295 only. The system seems to open normaly but the screen takes no signal. If I connect the Samsung to 9600 then the system opens giving signal to her. I tried to change the connection, I connected LG to 9600 and Samsung to 295. Samsung takes signal again. Why? What am I doing wrong? What should I do to have LG as primary display?

I have an Asus M4N82 Deluxe mobo (http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=acJsiQGEWJ7Fdp0m) and I have 295 on the first PCI X port and 9600 to the third port. I use ports 1 and 3 because the manual says so.
