Devices like these have been available in China for quite a long while, it looks like they have just altered the appearance of some to make them look more like the iPad, I doubt they've got any Apple DNA in them. Search YouTube for 'Smart Q7' for example and see how old the reviews are.

That's 24% and 21% of 'smart-phones' not 'mobile devices', Apples market share of 'mobile devices' is around 2.7%.
Also, the smart-phone statistics should be taken with a very large pinch of salt as there is no industry standard definition of what constitutes a smart-phone. Most statistics regarding smart-phones found on the Internet originate from either Gartners or IDC, these have both come up with their own criteria for what makes a smart-phone (and btw they are different from each other), these criteria serve to exclude many of the most powerful and popular handsets from major companies like Samsung and LG (some have suggested possibly by design) making Apple and RIM seem much bigger players than they really are. If Samsung and LG were so minded they could give their handsets a few minor tweaks to fit the criteria and you would very quickly see the RIM/Apple market share figure plummet (by that I don't mean because their sales were going down but because they would be smaller fish in a bigger pond). Some of the criteria are not about the functions available but how those functions are implemented - if it runs locally on the device it's smart, if it uses the network it's not even if the latter is actually more logical and more efficient.
I think you're probably right about how Apples place in the market will eventually shake down.
