This is good, now we know it's possible to make DNA by hand.

Now someone just has to figure out how to code it...

Because they didn't 'code' it from scratch...

They just hand made a copy from the DNA from a bacteria inside a new shell.

There are all sorts of genes, blue genes, stone washed geans, hip hugger geans, etc..... all are man made .

Now that we can create genes, we have more control over excluding those who be from the shallow end of the created gean pool ?


OK, they didn't actually create genes from screath as in "a new form of life building block from nothing". Lets qualify that a little, basically all they did was splice in some of their created DNA into an existing gene.

Yes, DNA can be created, its just chemicals after all.
