For Purebasic Beginners

Post by Jumbuck »

This post is for all those aspiring PB coders just starting out.
Don't be intimidated by the power of PB, just enjoy it.
You may need some help from time to time but the PB forum is great with
many helpful people there. (I know this from experience).
I am fairly new to PB and set about converting a rather large program written in
another basic code to PB.
This program has just been released as FREEWARE. For anybody interested
Austwide Feedlots can be downloaded from;-

http://www.feedlotsaustwide.com

This program has 437 procedures, 89 windows, 14 tables in an SQLite database
with 52069 lines of cade including comments, using PB 4.31/4.40 and XP SP3.
What I am trying to convey is if I could do this then you could too.
Purebasic is a very good language to learn. Keep coding.

Having had the privilege to help in a tiny way and seem some of the incredibly complex work that you have done, my many hats are off to you!!

I would never have dared do something this complex.

You MUST have a great many windows and features... My complete Restaurant POS program with 3 databasses and a SQL Server (if you al in the lins of the server code barely scrapes 8100 lines!!!)

What other basic was this written in? Was this originally OOP?
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!
