they recomment downloading the trial of Adobe Flash CS3 Professional...

the Student Edition of Adobe Flash CS3 Professional is > 130€,
the Update is ~300€, found no full Version yet...

... or do you know where to download a Flash creator for free?

Yeah, its based on the Adobe product. Free flash creation software? Hmmm...don't know...maybe a search of google will turn up something free or maybe lower in cost like Swish?

Flash for Linux.

But a free alternative to Adobe Flash:
LiveSwif 2.2
Has all the basic features. I like it a lot.
