Apparently it's build by some Google engineers that had some more ideas. (and were responsible for some major improvements on Google) Has a very different feel for the display. Not sure I like it or not but it's quite different.
Good to see people haven't just given up to let Google win and not innovate anymore

Not so good for looking up errors for info (troubleshooting support), where a returned list is easier to get info out of. But looking for other articles was quite good

This is somewhat similar to saying: "The phone book of Berlin contains three times as many characters as the bible." So what?
There are more things that make a good search engine. After a quick test my impression was, that Google found more relevant hits. Well, this will depend on the actual term(s) for which someone is looking. Anyway, since this brings some more competition in the field of search engines, it will be advantageous for the users.
It's not a case of "being used to Google" at all. Google does what it does, well.

Why not? Any new product has to prove itself. Something new isn't entitled
to command respect just like that <clicks fingers>. Only time will tell if it's any
better than Google. For me, it's currently nowhere near it. And what's with all
the non-related images next to the search results? Stupid.
I guess that for some amount of users, this will be their new search engine.
Type the name of a city, per example, and you will see some nice info organized.
Personally maybe i will not use this instead of Google, but im sure that many average users will because its more eye-candy and offer some info more organized and because novelty and newspapers.
I did a search on my grandfather as there is a wikipedia page on him and google will hit it as the first found link if you use his full name (I suspect that they favour wikipedia hits) and cuil found it and put a picture of a black guy in a sports stadium in next to the link text (which talks about a dead professor)
Also, Google has rebutted and said that "three times their index count would have been at the last time they published that count which was apparently 2005.
Still, worth keeping an eye on, I think it will improve
