Dear Board,
today I tried to print some text, mainly some Cities/towns in the vincinity.
Sometimes my PB-executables display Köln or Hürth, sometimes they
display K^ln or H,rth. I fixed this by using a ListIconGadget, which will
display ä, ö, ü correctly (so inside the Application, it's working)
On printed pages there is generally printed K^ln or H,rth instead of
Köln or Hürth... Does anyone know, how to fix this for printing??
I tried building an unicode-executable, but the printed page was empty,
not only because of the ä, ö, ü and such, but generally. I also switched
of the debugger, didn't work.
btw.: does PB print real text, or is it converted to image-date before
sending it to the printer? I suppose, it sends image-data instead of
ascii/unicode-text...

Code-Pages on Mac OS
Hello,
my problems with German chars (ä,ü,ö) depends on the
codepage. Mac OS uses - for reasons, I don't know - other
codepages than Windows. When printing, the mapping is done
using the Windows-codepage. Hence, the chars appear to be wrong.
I printed some chars, and e.g. the ä using windows (and PB-ASCII-List)
is declared using char #228, on Mac OS, it's #136, I think. Can't
tell 100%, because the print is somewhat ugly...
