Bytessence UserbarGenerator 2.1 - (24Dec09)

Post by Inf0Byt3 »

BUG is a freeware, small program to create userbars. It supports many effects, transparency and reflections.

Check out my signature for an userbar made with it :).

The program's page, with the downloads is here:

(scroll down for the d-l links)

I wish to thank Srod for helping me with the alpha-blending procedure when I was stuck.

Lol, this is cool :P
Maybe you could add an option for the font that is used?

:D.

Well there might be a small problem there... The font is being drawn from scratch, e.g. it is made from a PNG contained inside. I made it work this way so the text transparency would be adjustable. Painfull job, to make it work with all characters on my keyboard :lol:.

Still, I could add an option in the future to use a custom font, only that it's intensity will be fixed.

Very nice.. it's working on Linux with wine too :D

I have following suggestion:

- use sliders to position the text .. it's very annoying to get the text to the left side.... with a slider it would be much easier (at least for the horizontal position)

- if you need a translation of the text (into german) pm me

@Srod
Thanks :D.

@Walker,
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll fix this soon. As for the translation, i'll try to add support for it.

I updated the program to version 1.1 :). The link is the same (see first post).

Changes:
- Added sliders for altering position of the image and the text instead of the old button system
- Tweaked the font a bit
- Minimized processor usage while rendering

I think it really makes sense if the users would be able to save their userbar in form of a preset. This way you don't have to set all options again when you want to create the same userbar but with another text for example.

I guess I found a bug. The slider color values don't get updated for "End Color".

I also have a request, choosing a different color than black when you use custom text.

Good idea. I'll add this.

Yup, it'll be fixed.

I'll see where I can sneak a button in.

Thanks for the report :).
