[music] I can't believe I made this

Post by Trond »

I just looked through some old stuff, and I found a song that I made. And I must say, that I was positively surprised! It must've been my lucky day. (It's not that good, but it's good for being from me!)

Reminds of the game Doom! Image

Actually, considering that you are mainly a programmer it doesn't sound too bad. In fact it ain't bad at all with a proper GM Synth.

I listened to it and it definately sounds like game music, but instead of Doom, I pictured a penguin lost in a scary forest.

No, just use it, it was made for that. When I made it I posted it for free use on the Game Maker forums.

Crossing genres are always welcome. And now that you mention it: I remember a time when we could find adventure games for sale at your local PC games store. like Lucasarts games, Tex Murphy series (does anyone remember that? :o ), Myst series.

Cool!

can you change the key that the melody part is in? I think it could sound better just matching that up a little closer.

Hi Trond,

there were couple of notes I really liked - had to make a quick remix (listen here).
