best summarized by the reviewer themownself " Flashes of Genius with room for improvement..."
Form what I read GIMP or PSP10 or COREL or Photoshop edits better... Price is typical HIGH, and seems more like a Database / Organization tool than anthing else.
I see plugins that let you turn a collection into a online photo gallery (being the most interesting one... but I don't think they are free either...)
Hardware requirements look ridiculos... Kind of like needing Vista to play HALO3 on a PC...
My opinion... probably not worth it. If you want photo album management tools go to: http://www.filehippo.com/software/graphics/
and look at ACDSee, PICASA and GIMP and quite a few other things there... Almost all free...

Again, the pirate has the truth about things:
"One thing PC users can do that Mac users can't"

I have a MacBook so I can speak out of experience and I must say it is just rubbish. The wonderful interface is very pleasant to the eye, but you don't need a Mac for that (http://www.taimila.com/?q=node/11). The Terminal is nice and great for GNU/Linux users for quick hacking but even on Windows you can have a Terminal (http://www.cygwin.com/). Lastly there is the package system for installing applications, you simply mount the DMG of your application and copy the files to the Applications folder or use the built-in installer, which does essentially the same but automatically.. this is an ugly and idiotic perversion of the traditional Debian APT package installer and I really would prefer Windows-like installers for Mac. Also, the library for Mac applications isn't as large as that of GNU/Linux and surprise surprise more than 35% of Mac users have either installed GNU/Linux or Windows via Boot Camp. Many say that Macs are great for music production but that simply isn't true; sure there are stuff like Cubase for Mac but the music industry is focusing more on Windows and lately GNU/Linux (http://www.energy-xt.com/). All the fuss about Macs being better is simply because of idiots who don't know how to use Windows and blame it for being unstable and vulnerable to viruses, they also claim Mac is as secure as GNU/Linux when it comes to viruses, but recent researches have proven that even a script kiddie can and most likely will make a simple script to erase all hard drives without any warning to the user! (research was done last year on our school by our Mac experts) O_OJoakim Christiansen wrote:Why is a Mac better than PC?
Sure MacOS could be better than Windows, but is a Mac really better than a PC?
http://www.apple.com/getamac/viruses.html <- Yeah right and ponies _do_ fly! @_@
It's only the user interface people are talking about, because deep in them they are crying. Why did they pay lots of money for a piece of junk? Because of the fuss. Why didn't they get an average PC? Because of the fuss. Why don't they even know how to switch on a PC? Because of the fuss! O_O
PS: I didn't buy my MacBook, it's a gift from my father's company ^_^

This is a mute point for me. I got a MacBook Pro with an Intel Chip. MacOS X and Windows XP are running on the same hardware, nativly. Even Linux on VMWare on the XP partition.
In Fact the times of flame wars between Mac & PC are over for those who got some cash left.

Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit / Whose Hoff is it anyway?
I must second what irene has said, I have an iMac running mostly GNU/Linux with Bootcamp. I think OS X is a nice operating system and definitely better than Windows (with fink installed it can run a lot of OpenSource Software) but I realy prefer GNU/Linux.

Trust me, if Apple wouldn't have switched from PowerPC to Intel and developed Boot Camp there would be at least 50% less users buying a Mac, and if there would be no fuss about it then 0% users would have a Mac (except Steve Jobs of course ^_^)
I have a friend who constantly uses a Mac and nothing else.. she is nice and so but she occasionally says stuff like "Did you know that I can drag this from here and drop it there to download a music track?", "It just works and look even with only one mouse click!"... I think you get the idea.. Apple always has to say that "Mac can this what PC can't and Mac is faster than PC in that bla bla bla". If Apple wouldn't brainwash people there would maybe be some Mac users, but ones who really understand something about computers and not only scream if something isn't drag n droppable.. ^_^
Also, Macs are a very bad choice for blind people for example. Windows XP offers much better Accesibility options for such people. This proves that the development of Macs is GUI centered only.. They don't even provide a "start" button like in GNU/Linux and Windows! @_@

NO ITS NOT BETTER!Ollivier wrote:@thefool
I know Mac is better than PC. I'm a PC user and I say it. The 2 problems of Mac : Price and no real market in the industry.
The only regret not having a mac is that i can't get fingers in Logic 8, but then again Live 7 seems to be quite the one for me

I actually see good points in everything he say. But it takes a little to get used to the way he tell it heheJack wrote:except for the vulgar language, he makes good points.
I bought a Mac Pro, and while it's OK don't consider it superior, fact is I am running WindowsXP most of the time.
my opinion is that OS/x has some strengths especially since the upcomming version is to be Unix compliant,
but comming from a DOS/Windows environment I find OS/X rather clumsy to work with, I especially miss the right mouse button
context menus, while OX/X has some, it's not nearly as versatile as in Windows, also there's a glitch in the present
OS/X version, example, I open a folder and then right-click on a file or folder to "get info", more often than not
the system will blank the screen and close all the folders that were open, forcing me to do it all over again, argh!
also I miss being able to right-click on a particular folder and do a file search or the right-click-and-drag context menus.
