After seeing Pauls Purevision...
(i would have bought it, without that fingerprint thing)
and that nice example from Berikco on how to move gadgets

I started to make my own visualeditor, PBEdit a program that
has to be run from the Tools Menu and lets you edit the
gadgets from your source code.

just to see what i mean you can download it here:

http://www.xs4all.nl/~cr0wn/

it is still full of bugs since this is just an early test,
just tell me what you think of the idea...

How do you move the gadgets? I can't do it, either by mouse or keys.
Or is this just a "proof of concept" example at this stage?

@PB
see the white square, that is the one that moves the gadget. I can't seem to do the top few gadgets with windows xp because they are to close to the edge of the window so I moved them right a bit. I believe the mouse detection on Windows XP need a bit of work because I actually need to cover the box before the gadge wil react. I hope that made sence.

Hi Crown,

I think you write a CRLF after last line of PB source.
This gives this result at end of code after editor reloads source.

; ExecutableFormat=
; EOF

Take a look at source formatter code, dont use WriteStringN() for last line, use WriteString()

I see very few new tools comming after sourceformatting for the Editor.
This one shows the real power that the tools could have.
With the external tools, you can do anything, only imagination is needed :)

Crown, this would be THE tool to start as opensource project, kind of killer app :)
If you would make an opensource project of it, i would be glad to contribute in it.

I have te server space to host the project, and Maybe Fred can point idedit.purebasic.com to it?

Hi ho folks.

Preacher back at the keyboard. In few days I will release my new GUI edit tool for PB it features most gadgets and full move/size actions. I hope that someone could create a parse/create code for the thing. Currently I am listening to Metallica and I igf rambling please do not take any notice. I just came home from my works cristmasparty, and I am drunk . I know it's bin a long time since I've posted any messages but I hope to make a mence for that now.

f**k I haven't got a clue how to include a file with the post. Is it posible? (want to post a preview of my GUI Editor)

With kind regards to all fellow purebasic programmers....

Preacher
