job opportunity in Australia

Post by mskuma »

I'm interested to hire an experienced PB programmer and system integrator/designer to do some game-related development (standalone & networked) under contract initially, but may turn into a full-time job. The person would be a very savvy games developer with broad & deep technical skills along with good multimedia content creation/handling skills, design sense, and excellent system planning/integration skills. Ideally the person will be in Australia (on the Gold Coast) but I'd be happy to hear from others who are willing to relocate (some assistance is possible for an exceptional person). If anyone interested, please PM me for more information. Thanks.

OMG, this is so what I want, but I've never coded games or network stuff;
only standard applications. I even tried to move to the Gold Coast in the
last month (my parents live there and would take me in) but didn't get the
job there that I applied for. :(

I'd love to apply, but I know that I wouldn't be able to meet your expectations.
Also, I couldn't afford to be only on contract as I need full-time work right off.
What you're offering is 100% my dream job. It's just a shame that I don't have
any gaming/networking coding experience behind me. :( But if you need someone
to code gaming tools/utilities, then perhaps we may have something...? Or if you
want to train me then I'd be all for it. :D (Hey, you don't get if you don't ask!).

I'm going to keep your name on record. :)

@PB, it may be possible to relax some requirements if there is considerable demonstrated strength or aptitude in other areas (i.e. you could pick up the required areas by yourself quickly). There is some pre-existing code to take over, so that could be a starting point for study. What I've written above is what I really need since the task is rather broad, so I'm aiming for that at first. Usually we hire on contract basis, but for an exceptional person, I think it's possible to offer a permanent job.

@Heathen, where are you based?

Thanks both of you for your early reply & interest.

Because you said that he offers "everybodies dream job."

And then i guess that "everybodies dream job" is being a Gigolo.

Was just a joke. :wink:

ooookeeey

yap i knew it was a joke, but i didn't get it...

i think, its kinda problem, if people from all-over-the-world are talking in english....

my english is quite good, i even did international courier-business including phone-conversation,
but jokes are sometimes hard to translate....

i know englisch jokes that would be none if i translated them into german... and vice versa....

PS:
Gigolo would not be ma dream-job...
hey, you got to WASH yourself every day, you got to TOUCH every woman,
no time left to fart or scratch your ass?
hey, i'm a man, not a puppet... ;)
oh... and have a nice day.
