Looks pretty interesting. I got a lot of fun from the old mindstorm box with the yellow RCX!

Yeah. IMHO its one of the best toy's ever made :)
I see the touch & light sensor is about the same, and of course the old RCX and the new one seems comparable in some ways. Its up to the programmer to make it clever :)

Now that ultrasonic sensor seems pretty interesting!
The Ultrasonic Sensor measures distance in centimeters and in inches. It is able to measure distances from 0 to 255 centimeters with a precision of +/- 3 cm.
The sound sensor seems pretty sleek too, but those servo motors.. Automatic synchronization?? wow. It seems like step-motors. With the old one i usually adjusted speed & time. It was possible to make it follow a line though, and it was quite easy to manage.

oh..
Software Developer Kit (SDK)
Includes the NXT driver interface specification and necessary tools for creating third-party programming environments:
or even better, a firmware kit!

I feel like digging the old box out and start building!

Looks great!
I will see for one for me :)
If every child in the world had it now, very very soon machines made by humans would explore other planets.

i loved lego in the 80th/90th when i played with it... town/train and esp my biggest favourite was technic... i use nearly all (normal) technic modells *strange* ;)

sadly lego isnt so popular today as in the 80th... due fact childs are playing computer instead lego and puzzle and so on... i heared that lego company has red values... and it could be that the company will no longer exist in 1-2 year... really sad... however i dont like some new lego products (series)...

LEGO is the worlds 2nd most respected company, according to FORBES!

http://borsen.dk/dagens-nyheder/?ids[]=99499

LEGO is just a company that needs to exist. Im sorry for all the kids who can
t play with lego..

They just got a new CEO or something like that who have a plan on how to raise it.
"Lego is a very strong brand going through a deep crisis," Knudstorp said. "But we have no doubt both the brand and its products will be around 50 years from now."
Lately they have been cutting expenses and optimizing.
Apperently they got a newer deal with Microsoft on developing XBOX games.

Basically they still got some red numbers. But it is getting better, and im sure it will be good again.
