The next Bgames' game: B-Intruders

Post by lethalpolux »

Hello everybody ;)
this little post only to present our next game : B-intruders.
I post a little video to show you what it will be... but warning, it's far or the final quality ( in realtime, the game turn with 60fps at 1024x768 but fraps don't work correctly  ).
It's always the lethal engine 2.1,coded with PB 3.94 and i hope i finished it on september.

tell me what do you think about ;)

ps: i will release at the same time a windows application called S.I.C.K. ( space invaders construction kit ). it will be a game factory style application and will let you create space invaders game without coding a line ( but it will be generate PB source code ).

The video rocks. It looks outstanding and really makes me looking forward
to see the game in action :!:

Just one thing which came into my mind while watching the video is that it
would look more realistic to have a variation of different explosions when
killing an enemy.

Just my 2cts ... keep up your great work :!:
regards,
benny!

Thanx benny
for the suggestion, it is three different types of explosion when you hit an enemy

if you want to tell me what you think about ;)

Why are you zipping videos? :P

What can I say? Impressive as always!!
Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.

I think the players ship is a little dark, cant always see where it is. Other than that the game looks great.

No doubt, it looks very promising, as always.
My joystick is ready...

Just a little question,
Is your 'engine' only based on purebasic builtin commands ?
and do you translated your engine to PB4 ?
No programming language is perfect. There is not even a single best language.
There are only languages well suited or perhaps poorly suited for particular purposes. Herbert Mayer

May I ask you a question?

Did you use only PureBasic commands or did you also use other commands/functions (Win32 API, External DLLs, External PureLibrary)?

I am asking this, because I am going to start to develope games for Linux and this game (B-Intruders) looks very promising if you made it in PureBasic version 3.94 (Since for now we only have PureBasic version 3.94 for Linux).

Thank you!
