Well, I think asking this is good, I vote for 15-20.

EDIT: There used to be an option (25+) but the forum didn't add it, is it a bug? oh well, nevermind,

I don't expect any PB4 betas in the future. Just pb4.xx betas, pb5 betas, etc. .. :)

Just teasing, I get your drift. :)

For now, I voted 15-20 but I am guessing it be less than 15. Maybe 13.

The vote count right now is 7 for 15-20 and 2 for 20-25.

I just hope the two are not Fred and Freak! :D

i voted 15-20 even if it could be more - not a problem for me.
i like to see purebasic more and more stable.

but the sooner the better for Linux and OSX enhanced version.

I really don't mind what happend in the last 2 months.
Since beta 3 or 4 the version seems much stable, i mean there where no serious changes made anymore (besides bugfixing).

Better a few more beta's than some dumb crashy release.

This is all in my perspective of course :)

As many as it takes to get it right -- I don't care if there are 100 beta versions. Quality control is more important.

I imagine bugs will continue to surface after 4.0 is officially released, and there will continue to be more bugfix releases. That's just the way things are.

I'd take bets we won't see a beta 13. I'm sure most won't agree with me but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

i cant vote for any option, because i except many betas as required to have a stable final version. and its in our hand, to report fast all known bugs... so we dont need a new beta from week to week, because old bugs hasnt reported before ^^

If I'm to answer the question itself "How many PB4 betas are you going to expect in the future?"
I'd have to say that I expect as many betas as Fred feels is necessary before a final.

Now if you where to ask "How many PB4 betas do you think there will be before PB4 final?"
Then I would answer the poll with um... maybe 3-5 more and the release in 2-3 months, on a Monday.

But seriously, a handfull more, and release before the summer.
Because I believe PB 4.1 will arrive late summer/early fall, and PB 4.2 near xmas.

It seems as the poll don't take an entry with only numerics. I tried to enter "0" but that didn't work?!?

I'll guess as Berikco - 14 is a good number, for God's sake don't stop at 13!! (Skip Beta 13 and jump direct to 14)
