A friend would say: If you don't know what it is, chances are you don't need it.



But for development its essential to run VMs if you can't afford multiple systems for testing. Although this case is a lil' different.

VMWare Server (the former GSX-Server) nowadays is a free product as well. Check out http://www.vmware.com

Cool. However, depressing. How will I ever get the time to play with all these free toys?? I am currently trying to get XGL working on my Ubuntu system.
