Can we talk about this?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

Can we talk about this?

Post by netmaestro »

I right-clicked the PB icon in my folder and put it on the desktop. This is what appeared:

I liked the old icon very much. It symbolized compactness and speed. This new one seems to symbolize "fat" (to me at least)

Anyone?

Are you saying the new icon makes PureBasic look fat? :lol:

BTW, how could you not notice the new icon when you right-clicked it?
You don't need to create a shortcut to see the new icon, unless your
icon cache was corrupt or something...

And for what it's worth, I love the new icon: it's 3D and looks very modern.

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

The old icon is way too old and looks like something from 1995.. The new icon is much more modern, and looks better.

Because he's got sane explorer settings (not large icons).

@Trond: I see. But using Large Icons is not an insane choice on a big monitor.
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

@Trond:

In Australia, insanity is a condition of citizenship and a civic duty.

However, using large icons on a large screen would be considered sane, as everybody could actually see them.

And so

@PB:

If that was how you were manifesting civil obedience, you'll have to find another way. Too tame.

(I have only one icon - unused icons folder - that doesn't count either.)

Back on topic: I think the new icon is sort of spiffy. No longer so anorexic and wane.

New icon is the way to go! I never liked the old PB logo, in fact when I was a lowley - *shudder* - DB user when I first heard of PB I was put off by the logo, editor and website.

That's very shallow, I know - but I've turned around completly on the subject.

PB FOR PRESIDENT!!
