Starsled - the start of a journey.

Post by Hatonastick »

Ok, thought I might as well move from the thread I had going in the coding section to here since it's a game. Or will be. Just don't expect quality like Lethal Judgement 3. I can sort of draw, but not sprites and certainly nowhere near the level of people like that. Anyway...

This is going to be along the lines of the old Time Pilot arcade game. I'll post updates here as I go, I'm determined to finish despite the erm well general disintegration of my last attempt at a game in PB which was "Netrunner 2033" .

The latest version will always be available in this post. When it is finished (or should circumstances occur that result in me having to stop), full source will be made available.

Please post any bugs found here, and include your hardware specs such as CPU and graphics card. I think there is something strange going on with the timing algorithm I'm using as I've had occasional jumps that I can't duplicate at will. Let me know if you have the same problem. Oh, also knowing the FPS on your machine would be nice. Should be around 60FPS. Currently this is a CPU hog, will fix that once the timing issue is resolved. Also need to know if the animation is too quick on your machine.

Controls: left and right cursor to turn left and right.

Starsled v0.4a

Nice so far :D

But I think you should code some baddies and some kind of weapon ;)

Keep up the good work!

Thanks. It's currently temporarily on hold (as are all my projects) as I'm waiting for PB 4.0 to be (officially) released (with docs) before I take it any further - especially since I'm not a PB expert. :)
