Google ads on this forum

Post by thefool »

Google text-ads are fast loading and not disturbing. No popups or popunders.
You can even choose the colour for the ads..

An example would be a small bar at the bottom of the page. I wouldnt mind clicking them once in a while, and since this forum does get rather many visits im sure that it could bring Fantasie Software a little extra money.

Its a simple taxt to get them put on. You can read more here: https://www.google.com/adsense/

I think that adding those Google ads at the bottom of the page would not bother me and would give money to Fred, so it's a very good idea.
I wouldn't agree if it was pictured ads, but the google ads are very fine :)

Well, I for one would not be glad to see them. I don't like the idea. Looks cheap.

I don't think you'd ever want a Paypal donate facility on the main site, as those who do not know Purebasic and are just searching for that killer programming language might get the wrong impression. Indeed, they might wonder about PB's future etc.

I agree with netmaestro in that increasing PB's user base is the key. It is, imho, the best of the 'basic' languages going (and I own most of them; Visual, Real, i, Power, Free, ... I lose track... oh, and Pure! :D )
I may look like a mule, but I'm not a complete ass.

I agree with that. We are getting too much for too little. There are many forms this could take, such as splitting up gaming and gui app development in 59 euro pieces and bringing it all together in a "pro" version costing 100. Just one of many possibilities, but I have to agree that in that scenario current license holders should qualify for a pro license.
