The triangles are stored in a Buffer, every keyframe has a part in the buffer(they are strictly connected to each other), objects are stored in a LinkedList. And then I draw them with vertexarrays.

Good beginning with learning OpenGL, but a Engine needs more. But I think it will not be very fast. You need more optimizings, like GLLists, VertexArrays, VertexBufferObjects, Levels of Detail, FrustumCulling, ... .

Ask nicolaus, I gave him a FTP account, so he can manipulate all things. Those tutorials are old and ugly, but I think you can watch some examples there and see how it is built, but I wouldn't recommend you to copy parts of it.

Code: Select all

GLLists, VertexArrays, VertexBufferObjects, Levels of Detail, FrustumCulling, ... .
It is on these points that some tutorials would be useful !

Copying parts of code, it is not interesting but understanding parts of code is more useful.

In fact you can see that it's as easy to learn from the nehe tutorials than from the purebasic's one :)

Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.
