...
I value the advice of real coders (I'm not a real coder, I am an IT engineer and teacher) but if I did things they told me to do, it would take me 10 years to get anything to market!! My stuff is crap (really) and even Traumatic said it was too confusing and he is right, I did things my way, for my eyesight.
I don't want to add all the things TheFool; said just to make a sale as my comment before stands "Other applications have millions of features and blow mine out of the water" but on the other hand, without all that stuff, mine wouldn't sell. Still, I prefer it stay as it is, a simple address book without other features.
if I am lucky enough that a few people buy it as it is, then I can pay for next week's groceries and I'll be happy.
As for other features, I lack the skill or experience to do that stuff, sorry. Want more features? You will have to help me I'm afraid.
But thanks for all the good comments.

I'm not sure if I'm getting your post right but PLEASE don't let yourself
get discouraged just by listening to things other people say.
There's so much MORE to programming than just making the next best-
selling application!
Chin up!

Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.
I agree with traumatic.
I've made lots of apps over the years, personally I don't think much of them but I've gotten lots of good feedback from many of them even though I wrote most of them just for myself and my own usage. Some of the programs I redesigned the interface abit to meet the requests from some users, other than that I let them be as I wanted. I haven't sold any yet, and that hasen't been my intention, yet. But I do plan to, not that I am a great programmer OR designer, but I do know abit of marketing and I have helped others to market and sell their products.

blablabla TRAUmatic, i was just trying to help him with some simple stuff that would make the app more attractive. Fine suit yourself and figure it out with your own head.PLEASE don't let yourself

Pardon? I was just trying to tell fangles not to overrate what I said.thefool wrote: blablabla TRAUmatic, i was just trying to help him with some simple stuff that would make the app more attractive. Fine suit yourself and figure it out with your own head.
After all, everything I told him was just my personal and negligible
opinion, nothing that should stop anyone from doing anything.
I didn't even mention you, did I?

I get very little feedback from people who actually use the program (which I do want) and a little feedback from people who will never go near it (some of it quite rude) and I have almost no use for that.GeoTrail wrote:I agree with traumatic.
