Reading through that site, if i hear the phrase 'We remember when computing was fun' again, i'll shoot myself! 
and yeah, no mention of hardware reqs, no big screenshots, price, etc...
It looks nice but there about 15 years too late.

"ram disk" ... this kids cracks me up - I say, at least save its contents during shutdown and restore during boot.. why not? theres no law against saving data from the ram to the disk, or is it?.. its not hybernation like ms'..

..I know but that'd be like patenting saving the data of your clipboard into your hdd 
- I didnt meant the hybernation for the AMIGA OS.. I just meant the ram drive, should let you temporary store in hdd the contents.. that way it'd be more usable at least from my side.

There's no point, though -- otherwise it's just the same as a regular disk.

Except that a RAM disk is far faster than a 'real' disk. But the point is probably still moot, because any kind of data you're working on can be in ram somewhere anyway, even without a ram disk.
Back in the days when hard drives were small, slow and expensive, however, the ramdisk was a life saver (and sure beat swapping OS disks 87 times per session...)
I do think that Amiga et al is several years too late to release something - even if it's very very good - in this marketplace. Sure, Windows does so many things wrong we lose count, but it's still 90+% of the market, so what can you do?

I dont know! AmigaOS 4.0 looks pretty damn nice compared to interfaces like KDE etc.
Now! If just a x86 variant of AmigaOS4 appeared, then I might seriously consider it.
All I got of Amiga's around is two 1200's, one 600, and one 500+.
Isn't AOS4 PowerPC Amigas only? That rules me out...

An OS launched today for other processators is dead...
Even apple has seen the light...
All that work for nothing
And i do miss the RAM Disk, it's more usefull than you can imagine
About the saving part, you just need a rexx script to detect the shutdown (if you do one, in Amiga you only need to press the power button) and save it's contents to HDD ...

+1 . In fact, if an OS was designed to work only with AMD64 (ie: full 64 bits native API) it could have a chance, as it would remove a lot of porting problem and maintenance issues for different package version (you can see here for Windows: 32 bits, 32 bits Unicode, 64 bits Unicode - 3 package for the same software). At first glance i tough than OS X for PC would be this, but it seems like not. You can get free RAM disks for Windows... I think the most popular one is
"AR Ramdisk" but it's only for Windows 2K, XP and 2003.
