If I read the User Licence Conditions when I install PureBasic (Demo) it tells me - see bold text in quote - that it is a single computer licence only. So if I want to use it on more than one computer with the same OS it is not alowed.
Terms And Conditions
This programme is provided "AS IS". Fantaisie Software are NOT responsible for
any damage (or damages) attributed to PureBasic. You are warned that you use
PureBasic at your own risk. No warranties are implied or given by Fantaisie
Software or any representative.
The demo version of this programme may be freely distributed provided all
contents, of the original archive, remain intact. You may not modify, or change,
the contents of the original archive without express written consent from
Fantaisie Software. If a coverdisk is wanted, any magazine using it MUST ask
permission before any demo-version is added to any media.
Usage
This package is a single computer license only. This license can't be sell or donate
to a third person or company.
You can make DLLs including PureBasic commands for your own projects without any
restrictions. But it's not allowed to release simple freeware or commercial "wrapper"
DLLs to include PureBasic commands in other programming languages.
Fantaisie Software reserves all rights to this programme and all original archives
and contents.

The licence has changed?
I am pretty sure that it was licenced to one individual for use on any number of machines.
Wonder if the free updating will also change.
I have bought a number of products that offered free updates, and then later switched to pay-for updates. Latest and most recent is KoolMoves. Which reminds me, I now have to speak to Bob re that as it cannot be legally done, or at least can be contested.
However, having said that, the free-update model is a "conquest" or an "exploration" model, it requires that new territory (new users) must be consistently found. It is not viable. Whereas pay-for-updates is a "colonial" or a "husbandry" model and exploits the current user base. It is viable.
The crunch.
I have PureBasic on a number of units: XP, win2k, win98, win95 and fedora. Am I now considered to operating illegally?

I know you may use it on more than one OS. But not on more computers within one OS line.

According to the FAQ
The PureBasic licence is an user-based licence, which means you can install your full version on all of your computers without the need to buy another licence for each. PureBasic currently runs on three different operating systems (Windows, Linux and AmigaOS) and a single licence cover them all. Even if PureBasic is ported to other OSes (OpenBSD, MacOS X..) you will have free access to them.
seems to me that means 1 license for all your computers.

As I read the information on the Purebasic site and PB-licence:
- Free updates for private use.
- You may use it on all OS-ses you have simultaniously.
But: If you have 3 computers with WindowsXP, you may only install it on ONE of the three pc's.
