[Implemented] Change Beginners name
Would it be an idea to change the name of the "Beginners" forum to the "Coding and Programming questions" forum, or something similar? So that there is no ego-damage or loss of face (lol) in posting those sorts of Qs there.

Hi DarkDragon,DarkDragon wrote:What the hell happened now? Most forums I know have a beginners forum, as it was here. I don't think that's a good idea. Now I can't go anymore through all new posts as fast as I did.
Only the name has changed so it shouldn't impact on anything like searching new posts, should it?
Hopefully it will make a positive difference by helping with the gathering the "How do I .." and "What's wrong here .." posts into one place - so it may even improve things.
Still, maybe references in old posts to "Beginners" are now obsolete terminology.
Or am I missing something else?
Anyhow, if enough people dislike this I am sure Fred will change it back, or call it something like "Coding Questions and Beginners".

Re: Change Beginners name
Well, but:
To be a beginner means to be a learner, and that is great, a real pride!!
The shame is the fact of to don't want to learn, taking refuge into the more comfortable of the ignorances: That is the big ego-nonsense, unfaced... an that is the big problem of most of the hominidae in the past and in the present.
One of the few people who contributed with some big things to the humanity and no humanity (this is A. Einstein) said: "We all are ignorants, but not all of us ignore the same things"
Ego-damage? loss of face? That should only happen with children and with "too much deficient" people.Dare2 wrote:So that there is no ego-damage or loss of face (lol) in posting those sorts of Qs there.
