Paperclip Art!

Post by Xombie »

:D Sometimes at work I get bored and my mind needs something to do to keep occupied... so recently I tried my hand at making little paperclip ... 'things'. I've made a paperclip scissors that you can actually move the handles, paperclip hair brush, paperclip person that can stand and bend at the waist, paperclip golf bag and golf club (for my boss since she loves golf) and my two most favorite - a paperclip easel for a friend/coworker that is an artist and a paperclip chicken foot for one of my other bosses.

The chicken foot is because my wife is Chinese and my boss is always teasing me about eating chicken feet. My wife loves it but it turns my stomache. So today I made that boss a paperclip chicken foot. It was great :D The easel is cool because it's a tripod with a frame and I taped on a small piece of paper as the 'board'. It's even got a little 'tray' where you'd put brushes ^_^

Basically I just make things out of whatever I can find in the office. With no tools. Just my fingers and whatnot. More of a challenge that way ^_^

Here are some images for my two favorites. The easel and chicken foot. They were taken with a cellphone camera so the quality isn't good. Sorry :(

I made a four pronged grappling hook from paperclips which i use to snare stuff from other people's desks at work. Made it about a year ago, and it works well! :D
