Ok, here is another wild question. I speak on the radio (via phone) once or twice a week. I use a hardware voice changer to do the obvious.
Are there any libraries that can:
1. Be used to dial and talk through my PC
2. Change voice
I have programs that can dial for me, Skype is great. I also use AV Voice changer to change my voice, not as good as hardware.
So where can I start looking to find the stuff needed to build an app that does the calling and voice changing.
This is mostly for the fun of it. I stopped using PB a year ago and am getting back into it again now. Has any one written either or both?
Thanks.
Telephone App with voice changer
Hmm! You know if you got a Audigy2 ZS (and Audigy 2, and possibly Audigy1 as well)
The soundcard drivers (if you install the full Creative suite)
has a special EAX control panel/wizard,
where you can setup various EAX profiles.
I used that live on the air once, switching between higpitched,
lowpitched and some odd FX voice on the fly. Very fun.
And since esp. Audigy2ZS has a full hardware implementation of EAX
it is able to do very advanced live effects,
to the extent that you can set it up to only apply certain effects
to the microphone only.

Could be.
This could work. I actually use right now professinal sound apps such as Sonar3. The issue is that I just want to play building one that would do what I need. Customize it to my needs instead of having all the other stuff I don't want. And besides, just have fun putting it together.
Thanks anyways, as always all support and ideas are always welcomed.
