A little DJ tool.

Post by Hroudtwolf »

"DJs Board" is a 2 channel mp3 livemixer.
Also it haves a jinglefunction. Its not the "we was wating for it" software.
But,..maybe anyone could use it on a party as DJ.

Have a lot of fun with it....

looks promising althought:

The speed slider - not realtime (it pauses the music)
The "Jingles" should be called SAMPLES - at least when I was deejay we called them like that :p

The samples part reminds me a LOT of BPM STUDIO PROFI -if I used that one..!!!!-

Controls are a little big, if you wanted to emulate a real console, then at least make a nicer skin (or ask me for it hehe).

I tryed to load up a 100mb mp3 and it was struggling ... too bad.

Now I want Cue, looping and sound output (to mp3 or wav) hehehe :D
and for free! - kick me already -

I still dont get why it redraws the gadgets all the time when I focus back to your application.

There should be a "time remaining" instead of both timers (time and total)
total is good to have but remaining is more important (so you just read the number, and dont have to be resting it in your mind by using both values) . remember you need instant action when you're live mixing ;)

Next: Equalizer !
Alert when a certain amount of time is remaining (say the latest 30 seconds, put the text in red and flash it maybe).

Bug: The Main slider (which lets you slide out one channel and slide in the other) if the volumes are say.. one very loud and the other less, if you slide the main slider it will adjust pretty bad to predefined values instead of "interpolate" them smoothly.

What about a warning when you try to quit it?

- Ok just giving you some pointers! I could be all day like this  reminds me good moments.

makes me remember of scratchup vol.2 :?

I wrote it in 2003 and it has absolutly the same functions, only that in my program you could set the speed of the effects, not of the song.

the only thing that´s different is that my sounds can be played by keyboardshortcuts.

It´s a little buggy, but it was my first own-written program.

I should buy a softwarepatent for it
Give Up everything but trying!

Hi Hroudtwolf, how you managed to play more than one sample at the same time? I thought Pure sound commands couldn't handle it...

...
Don't worry about others oponions, it's a good start ;)
