Wow. I just found the World demo in the Help files of PB. It lets you "fly" around Q3Areana levels. I reinstalled Q3Arena just to test the code out. It's pretty cool. I have GtkRadiant installed and am capable of using it.
Ok. sofar, my game is 2d... But I think it'd be awesome if it had 3d backgrounds. It is linear so I don't really need collision detection.
So I now have 3 questions...
How can I put a 2d sprite "in" the world and move it around? I don't want to just overlay it on the screen, incase i have a 3d object that is closer to the camera than the sprite is.
If my maps are now going to be in pk3 files (pretty much zip files) I want to put my data files in there as well. Like text files that hold what conversations are displayed, or "triggers" that tell the game to make something happen when a certain point is reached. How can I read files from within pk3s?
And my last question, which isn't important: Can I move walls with code or even change the values of lights in game?
Thanks again guys.. You've been a great help already.
.pk3 files?

yes
I understand that it's just basically a zip file... Is there a way to get my game to be able to read text files within the pk3 files?
