I've been using http://free.prohosting.com for years now with no problems.
It's 100% free (I've never paid a cent) and sounds like a good permanent
place for jaPBe to live (ie. you don't have to worry about changing ISPs).

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

What sort of traffic (bandwidth) do you have every month? Can you get hold of those figures somehow?
Anyhow, not sure how urgent so for the time being, here:

I have 80 GB hd space and 1.2 TB of bandwidth laying around. I can give you full ftp access for you to upload whenever you like. Or I can mirror. ( http://www.japbe.com/downloads , when the dns resolves.)
If you are interested, let me know, and I can setup an account ASAP. Or I'll just mirror

I don't get this information. My (old) webspace is a "don't-care-no-problem"-webspace. I can only store files, no gags like php or other things. a simple File-Webspace (and i don't need more)Dare2 wrote:What sort of traffic (bandwidth) do you have every month?
@PB:
When possible, i want a advertise-free page. And i get one (i hope advertise free), when my new account from my new provider.
@All
At the moment i need only a "online-backup" for new users of japbe, or as backup for all. I will upload new version, when i got my dsl-account. At the moment i only have a old 56k-modem...

They are ad-free.
That's why I chose them. I don't think they've changed.
Their page still says "NO Banner Advertisements" so I assume still ad-free.
And since you're just hosting files (with no HTML pages, from what I've seen
with your current page) then it seems perfect for your needs, IMO.

Just went there to have a look. The free package puts banner ads on the site and 1 gig traffic only. You have to pay to get 5 gig traffic and no ads.PB wrote:> i need a alternate download place for jaPBe

Seems they've changed their tune over the years then. Strange that they
still say "no ads" there (misleading advertising?). Weird. Doesn't matter,
since www.japbe.com exists now anyway.

japbe.com (domain) is owned by me to be an UNOFFICIAL place to download japbe. And will have a direct link to the official japbe website as soon as GPI puts one up
as for the .exe files, IIS is currently having problems with them, and it should be fixed in less then 30 minutes (gotta do some remoting to fix the bugger).
I must confess I LOVE jaPBe. It is the only code editor for purebasic I have fell in love with. Now I have to find the equivelent in linux
(I heard KACE is good). So anyways, when I first came to the PB scene, the jaPBe site only had a list of files (and still do/did). No website describing it nor forums nor anything. I'm planning on adding forums and such today, with a short description and so on, to help spread the word.
Anyways, give it about 30 minutes, and they should be downloadable.
