Searching Hard drive for files

Hello is there a fast technique to search the hard drive for files??
pentium 90mhz, 32mb ram, 1mb video ram, 1gb hd, windows 95.
If it can run on mine it can run on anything

there are several pieces of code on the forum to search harddrives and subdirs...
