There are a mix of red, green and blue balls in a bag.

The total number of balls is 60.

There are four times as many red balls as green balls and 6 more blue balls than green balls.

How many balls of each color are in the bag?

There are 36 red balls, 9 green balls and 15 blue balls ^o^

9 + 6 = 15
9 * 4 = 36
36 + 9 + 12 = 60

^_^

Blue balls = 15

Red balls = 36

Green balls = 9

I would have thought from this forum there would be more blu... er.... never mind!

But I don't get it how I should send the passphrase.. @_@

This is a hard puzzle.. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.. @_@

This puzzle is one of my favorites.

You have twelve blocks, each of which is marked for identification.

One of the blocks is of a different weight. You do not know whether the block is lighter or heavier. Let me repeat that, because this is usually the first thing people get wrong: you do not know (yet) whether the block is lighter or heavier.

Although the blocks are of reasonable size, the difference in weight between the "odd" block and the rest of the blocks is so small that you cannot detect it on your own.

Fortuntely, you also have a highly sensitive balance, which has two pans, A and B. The balance, when used, gives one of three results:

Pan A is heavier
Both pans are the same weight
Pan B is heavier


You may use the balance 4 (and only 4) times. A "use" for this purpose is getting any information from the balance.

You must devise a method which will, when used, answer BOTH of the following questions, in ALL scenarios:

Which block is the "odd" block?
Is the "odd" block lighter or heavier than the rest?
