Honestly, is all this foul launguage really necessary?

On my forum I have a bad word filter to prevent such language which keeps a log of hits by users. Users that constantly hit it eventually get banned.

It doesn't bother me much other than given a choice I prefer not to see it, but it could offend others and to me it makes the poster look a bit imature or childish.

(Just my two cents)

I think you'd better get used to that kind of language, because it's here to stay. To be honest it doesn't have the same meaning anymore as it once did, and it's generally not meant to be offensive either. I mean, fuck is now the most versatile word in the english language. It's ranging from an absolute negative to an absolute positive meaning, not to mention being a verb, an adjective and a substantive

I'm 39 with a high paying job and I fucking love/hate things all the time, and english is not even my native language  Does this mean I'm immature or childish? I only wish

If people chose take offence from it, that's a shame, but it's really their problem.

Nope. It's their parents problem for raising them with some sense of decency :D

As I said it doesn't bother me personally, I just don't see any reason to use words that might offend others when there are plenty of alternatives you can use to get your meaning across that won't offend anybody.

I am still waiting for Linux to get all the Windows 3.94 features

The DX9 will be great for windows, but some time really needs to be spent on getting all sprite/sprite 3d commands working on Linux. Hopefully SDL will be on the way our and OpenGL will replace it.

You are nice, on my forums its always an immediate and permanent ban.

Its a shame raising your kids with decency doesn't seem to happen in some countries. Also sad that the PB community allows this vulguar and obscene behavior.

Sorry about that, wasn't intending to start a bad word discussion here.

Discussion continued in Language on the forums in the Off Topic area.

I have seen this feature by autocomplete
PureBasic 5.73 | SpiderBasic 2.30 | Windows 10 Pro (x64) | Linux Mint 20.1 (x64)
Old bugs good, new bugs bad! Updates are evil: might fix old bugs and introduce no new ones.

I second that!! ModPlug is really great! Above all else, it can play Oktalyzer songs, which I have a few really, really great ones from the good old Amiga days :D

Thanks to the PB Team for this release.

BUT! I'm a little sad, because the explorertreegadget rightclick bug still isn't fixed ( http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtop ... treegadget )

on Vista and OpenWindowedScreen() will disable the glass skin. The work to update all this
to DX9 is in progress, but it will not be finished for 4.10.
This will be done in the 4.20 release.
Does this mean DX7 support will be dropped? What about Win98 which only supports up to DX8?

Thanks for the update!
