gimme a little and i whip something up
story has to give backdrop to:
- support multi player
- support clans and single players
- allow very different settings and graphics
- be playable without an enormous expensive central server
- allow different playing styles
mmmm
that can be done

				Here is something:
It must be completely opened (story, graphics, characters, maps, events can be added by user) . This is because of user support for us.
If we going to make multiplayer, it will be just a MMORPG. Because of complexity. But I think if you agree that it will be just a singleplayer with weak multiplayer support.
Clans, Characters, Abilities, Enhancemets (upgrades), Weapons, Weapons effects, Animated sequences and other things (that is main things) can be easely added (it considering building editor for a game which is necessary).
And of course scripting language which every functions support variables. (that's for a automatically generated enemys and other casually things)

				I am.
Look, if we start and finish programming singleplayer in "modules", OO programming. We can easely add a multiplayer support.
So let's just make a story. if you want I can make part of it.

I donno, I find that to be more of a stab in the foot. I tried that before and found it harder to convert everything over to multiplayer from single player.
I would help, but already converting existing vb sources for a mmorpg and mmorts/ccg to pb, and finding it to be a pain, for now
Anyways, I wish you luck.

				That's good.
We already know if that's harder convert some others code then code it to yourself.
If you share your code we can make it together (I already have a plenty of sources in C++), and start to code ours game.
In fact the problem is construction (without story we don't have a direction).
Hmmm... It seems that forums is just about talk (noone have a good will to start something). I wonder why it is?
