Re: Ads on the forums
I first haven't found it too. Scroll down. Over the "Powered by phpBB © 2008 phpBB Group" you can see the big advertismentblock.Trond wrote:I can't see any ad.

I see no ads either and don't want to change the forum style.

Re: Ads on the forums
Yeah, they are depending on the forum style; I see the ads with Firefox when using subsilver+
I did not when using prosilver.

As if I want to use an ugly theme just to be pestered by ads!DarkDragon wrote:Ah you have a different style, try subsilverplus.Trond wrote:No, I don't. Vera, just be patient. You've probably never dealt with people like Fred and Freak and the team before, they will restore your faith in human nature

@Vera
haha gimme a break.
a similar product like pb (if even existing) with all its commandset and multiplatform support for x32 and x64, would cost more than 300€ and wont offer you free lifetime updates at all.
and you complain about an almost not noticeable forum ad, at the bottom?? are you f*ckin serious?! fred is trying to make some money, without charging the same customers over and over again. i hardly doubt, he wants to become rich by that, he probably just wants to cover the forum traffic a little bit. jesus...

Re: Ads on the forums
The ads are a good idea. As others said, if they're not inserted in the posts I don't think they will bother anyone. I would have suggested this a long time ago for the main PB website but didn't know if the team would actually try it.

Re: Ads on the forums
I demand this bug to be fixed immediately! I want the ads too ! I want the links to evaluate all the products above.DarkDragon wrote:But its weird. I just get PowerBasic, QuickBasic, QBasic, Visual Basic ads. No PureBasic ads.
PowerBasic seem promising, after all has a "Power" in the name.
QuackBasic sorry I mean Quick seem intriguing too.. "Quick".
After all the current one I'm using is "Pure". Nice thing sure, but not comparable with the two above.

Re: Ads on the forums
I imagine actually CLICKING on the ads helps generate more income as well???
Hey, if it helps PB then let's all make a point of actually clicking on the ads once in a while too!
