Is there some sort of economic reward for pushing a particular barrow? (j/k).
Is it some sort of Freudian corporate memory thing (albeit recently formed) that remembers the harsh old days when Netscape was the dominant, and IE was the underdog, and websites were actively hostile to users of the "other" browser?
Or is it an ego thing? "I use it therefore it must be the best and be seen to be the best or it reflects badly on me."
Seems to me they all have + and - features.
Sooooo ... in the interests of, um, science ... those of you who are ardent supporters of a browser, why? And just saying "it is the best" is a cop out. So why, emotionally, is it so important to defend and promote it?
Because they have no life, thats all.
See, I even made a guy take a screenshot, crop it, draw an oval with the circle tool in paint (for instance he had to open ms paint as well, I made him do that too!), save it, upload it, link it. Wow!. So yes, it's all about little heads trying to make a point, or show up what they stand for?..

He must be mad by now.

Rolls on the f***ing floor laughing his a** off!!
OMFG! You are such a noble person calling them "lifeless"? I mean I don't won't to rub more salt in the wound (well, actually I do...) but honestly, that's an understatment! I can understand if you got insulted (or at least feel like it) and trying to defend a software (no matter what type of) because you are a loyal user and some ignorant fool made false statements but this topic is turning into a Firefox Vs. Opera thread. And I don't mean the polite ones were you actually exchanging arguments in a friendly way.
Anyway, I agree with Dreglor here and say we should get back to the "removing illegal users" issue.

Hehehe, when you look at it that way, it's pretty funny.
But seriously, how is discussing browsers any different to the many threads
here where we discuss PureBasic vs other Basics? Or one 3D engine versus
another 3D engine? And so on. It's all the same thing, except the type of
software being discussed.

Why not? Extensions are PART of the Firefox experience. Ignoring them
is like running a clean install of Windows and then NOT installing any apps.

I didn't know Opera had extensions now. From which version?
Well, it's actually a local proxy server. But don't say you don't want to install it, it's easy and don't is like running a clean install of Windows and then NOT installing any apps.
Also, some market share stats for you to consider:

If Firefox was that good, then surely more people would be using it?
