Who hit first ... hits twice ... if XBOX 360 will be on sale this Xmas then ... XBOX 360 will win this war ... what makes the PS2 a great console are the games not the power (XBOX is more powerfull than PS2) ... so if Microsoft starts selling XBOX 360 a year before the PS3 ... it will be a BIG hit against SONY.

The SDK´s for XBOX 360 are out since 2004 ... rigth now exists more than 160 games in development ... and when SONY launches the PS3 ... it will have in his face the giant HALO 3 ( everybody knows the impact of that Halo series in the XBOX sales and in the XBOX Live growing).

In a year the companies can achieve great maturity in games developing ...

I think that SONY will loose this war (may be just for this generation) ... SONY is promising so much things that may be they can't do in the future ... MICROSOFT is just promising things that they can do in the future (and will do).

The PS3's Controller .... just S*C*S ... it is like a boomerang and i dont know why SONY changes the great PS2 controller for a boomerang ... I think that the XBOX 360 is more ergonomical than PS3 (the XBOX 360 controller is more like the actual PS2 controller)

... if Microsoft launch the XBOX 360 this Xmas and for the "ridiculous" estimated price of $ 300 (PS3 is suposed to be $ 500) ... then SONY will loose the war.

Nobody can beat Microsoft, it's a sad fact, ut it the way it is

I don't like Microsoft as a company, never have and never will.... I hate windows... and also think there are better spreadsheets, WP's, Databases etc...

BUT.

For my job I have to use Windows XP, Word, Excel, Access, Win2k, IE etc.... and I have an XBOX for the gaming. The good thing about the XBOX, is when I upgrade to XBOX 2 I can use it as a linux media player or something. The PS2 will die when the PS3 comes along...

Microsoft will win in the long run..... if they want to !!!

Toshiba (one of the Cell parents) is also going to use it in is new (digital?) Tv sets

Toshiba are using it to replace (in software) 3 vlsi mpeg decoding components.
