I think Linux is always included for free.
If the fmod-source would be implemented in PB (so we would not have to use the seperate DLL) I would donate, too. (let's see, how much).
(altough I have a 'normal' fmod-license already)
I would found it unbelieveable wonderful, because fmod is really veeeeery useful, serious, and stable. PB would be more than PERFECT for games and all other applications from side of sound with it.

Okay, I can see where you guys are going, and I applaud your sentiment.
However, if this gets to the point where donations are taken then the donations page had better make it pretty clear what the whole thing is about, and what someone making a donation can expect in return.
Especially, that donations do not give the donator any rights to, or ownership stake in, PB or any part thereof. We don't want PB to fall over in a legal mess because someone misunderstood and now thinks that they own a slice of it.
I am sure that the above is a given and would have been worded into the page along with an "I understand" check box.
I am also sure that nobody posting here would be mistaken (or mischievious) in this way.
But you don't know who might donate, what language they speak, what mindset they have, etc. So I am posting this "just in case".

I will definately donate money if there was a way to have FMOD recompiled as a regular library (not a DLL) that PB can include in it's products. AFAIK, the source of FMOD is provided when a license is bought. If this is a case, as as far as I can remember, I believe FMOD was coded in C(++?) and ASM.
for a real fmod (and a working not statement
) i'll guess i'd make a contrib as well... would depend on the license though
face it, if it would allow us full access to all fmod features for an unlimted number of products, the few bucks would be easily returned...
but if each one of us would donate 50 bucks, we'd still need 60 people, and i don't see that happening...
instead of donating, a better suggestion is to buy an additional license, that way fred still gets his money, and you have one to give away to spread the word
