FMOD I think i have a Lic for PB
I have been talking with the CEO of FMOD and he said we could have FMOD for $2000.00 for PB so we can make Comercial programs with FMOD and resel them so if we can all put together a few dollers this can be done withing a 1 month or so if Fred can put up a donation page i would be glad to pledge money first who will match me?
come on peeps this would be a great enhancement to PB.
@Fred
let me know if you can put the page up, if not maybe i can do something
on my site.

Perhaps write a small 1/2 page describing what it does and how to use it and you might get more people to donate to your cause.![]()

Sound output API Support and 3D Sound
DirectSound, DirectSound3D, with DirectX 6.1 and DirectX 7.0 voice management support.
Creative EAX 2.0 and EAX 3.0 reverb with occlusion and obstructions.
Multimedia WaveOut (for legacy and lower latency NT support)
Linux OSS (Open Sound System) support.
Linux ESD (Enlightment Sound Daemon) support.
Linux Alsa 0.9 support .
ASIO Support for windows.
Macintosh SoundManager support
FMOD does not actually require DirectSound of any version. It can work on any machine that has a 16 bit sound card!
*THE* fastest mixing routines in the world. It is so fast, it is faster to mix 2d sound effects with the software mixer than to use hardware support through Direct Sound. (tested by frame-rate tests in various games, playing and state-changing 32 sounds at once)
Quality 32bit interpolating mixers.
MMX Support.
Volume Ramping / Click Removal when there are sudden pan or volume changes. This does not affect cpu usage either as some people might think
Fake surround sound per channel.
All mixers support stereo samples.
Sounds can be played backwards.
Software 3D Engine including true Doppler, logarithmic volume attenuation and 3D panning.
Spectrum analyzer support through 1 simple function call
Music Playback
Mod Playback. MOD/S3M/XM and IT.
MIDI Support. FMOD Supports Microsoft Wavetable Synthesizer, and hardware wave-table cards.
Microsoft WAV Support, including support for compressed wavs of any type, using ACM codecs.
Native ADPCM support for any platform, without needing any codecs.
Shoutcast / IceCast / HTTP internet streaming support.
ID3v1, ID3v2, ogg vorbis, ASF tag support.
MP2/MP3 Support. The MP3 engine is quite efficient, and will get faster in the future!
Ogg Vorbis Support. This new free from patent format is gaining popularity fast, and sounds better than mp3 at the same bit rate! FMOD is recognized by xiph.org as supporting ogg vorbis.
WMA/ASF/etc Support. Another competitor for MP3, It is arguably better than MP3, and is free to use also!
Macintosh AIFF support, on all versions of FMOD.
Internet Streaming Support. With one function call, it is possible to play an mp3 or wma over the internet! (you juts pass a URL to FMOD instead of a filename)
Multiple song system.. You can play multiple mods or streams at once, cross fade them in and out etc.
Stream and MOD music synchronization. A variety of commands are available to synchronize your graphics with the music.
CD Playback using FSOUND's FASTCD system (NO POLLING).
And the rest!
RAW, WAV (including compressed), MP2/MP3 and Ogg Vorbis samples.
DirectX 8 special FX support, including flange,chorus,i3dl2 reverb, EQ, echo and more!
Real-time full duplex recording interface!
User programmable chainable DSP engine. Do DSP effects on the output of music and sound effects!
CDDA support. Play audio cd's digitally and do effects, analysis or ripping using FMOD!
User call-back custom streams.
Generate custom samples.
WAV Loop point support.
WAV marker synchronization call-backs.
Supply your own file routines! If your data is stored in wad files, or is memory mapped, or whatever wacky file system you use, then with 1 function call, set up your own file routines for fmod to use internally!!
And there's more cool stuff inside.. just have a look!
From what i understand he said this would be a resell lic. for PureBasic for $2000.00 US. I am not at home at the moment but i can print the entire E-Mail conversation if you would like this took around 3 weeks to get him to give me a discounted price for PureBasic but from what he wrote me we can get a resell Lic. Waiting to find out how to continue when we have the cash if he wants me to talk to him or have Fred send him an e-mail this is normaly over $5K for this so I think we got a good deal..

if 20 people donate will be $100.00 each
if 40 people donate will be $50.00 each
if 60 people donate will be $33.33 each
if 80 people donate will be $25.00 each
if 100 peaple donate will be $20.00 each
if 900 people donate will be $2.22 each
I would hope that with over 900 registard users of PB we could at least come up with 100 people to donate keep in mind if we can get 500 people to donate $10.00 each that would be $5000.00 and maybe we can keep this going to purchase other great addons for PB maybe a built in database or better 3D stuff or who knows the posibilities are endless or maybe Fred could put up a donation page and everyone who donates for something will get it when it's done and if everyone who didn't donate they can purchase the updated version when they want it. That money can go back into the AddOn pool the get more things to make Freds life a little easyer (why re-envent the wheel) when you can buy the ASM version and maybe some of the money can go to peeps that have already added great AddOns to PB for example El_Choni, PB, Num3,Berikco and whoever else has made free there libs and helping with questions on this board.
P.S.
maybe a little more for Fred for his AWSOME work he is doing, and or mabe we can setup a cash contest with donation or take votes on AddOns for people that donate if everyone could donate $2.50 a mounth this would be $30.00 a year X 900 people $27000.00 a year now thats a lot of addons or contests or whatever.
I would donate 30 bucks a year thats not so bad is it?

I just thought of a great idea, what if we had a compatiotion for the best addon, can be written in C ASM or PB the winner gets 1 or 2 months of donations, must include source so someone can optimize it. After we get FMOD that is, or maybe Fred can use some of the money to make som PB t-shirts for registard users or to sell on the web site. If he wants them, I have a friend that has a silkscreen machine and makes shirts as his business, I can get a good price break from him. around 4-8 bucks a shirt maybe even less
tell me what you think.... you to Fred
