True. But the point is, ShadowStorm did *NOT* develop the functions. He just had the idea. So should the idea be under licence ?

Merry Christmas to all !!

Patent troll

I don't mean these in this particular case.
But I hate companies that have an idea and make a description without even knowing how to implement it and patent it.

If the option to use it commercially doesn't exist then I wouldn't use it even in a personal project.

It is up to each person to decide how they want to use their licence and cannot be overruled by others.
No one gets upset about the IceDesigner.

If someone needs something like that commercially and wants to save himself the work, you have to agree on the licence model in advance.

We all know how time-consuming it is to programme some functions and how many hours go into it. If someone provides something, even under licence, it is always good to know that there is something to save you the work.

Be kind to each other and Merry Christmas to all.
Thank you, I really appreciate your message and I agree with you.

All this represented dozens, even hundreds of hours of work, (The code of the Stargate module), and I am humble enough to recognize that without him nothing would have been done and that he is the coder, next to him I did not do much in comparison, because I can't realize such a project, and I had this idea for me but also and especially so that others can also have this kind of thing, to create easily a complex application, you have to see already all that is possible to do with it!

So the question is to know if I have a say since I didn't code anything?

I guess yes and I'm the one who decided the structure of the program, such function with such parameter to do such thing, I had the ideas and I also participated to try to debug the module, to make all the translation in french, a small part of the help in french not finished because a lot of work!

If only this module had the recognition it deserves, that people are interested in it... Stargate would have continued...

I'm not good at showing all the potential of this software I admit it !
And probably since I'm in the project, it doesn't help?

Now people are complaining about the license, and I opened this topic to discuss it but everything seems to be said already!

My apologies for the mistakes.

I didn't understand what you mean, please be clearer.

What is the aim of that second discussion?
Isn't anything said already?
You are not willing to offer it for commercial use without license, period.
There is nothing wrong with that attitude, but of course the result will be much less interest.
Not because people are not willing to buy a license, but a license will be only bought if someone has a commercial project in mind.
And I doubt, that here are more then 2 or 3 people falling into that category.
Get used to it and enjoy creating your own commercial tools with it.

You have to learn, that something you personally find amazing and incredible useful, might not be seen like this by others.
