no idea on how it can be done however ...
This is the kind of crack that i was talking about, the guy that use without pay, some application.

As its almost impossible to do nothing legal against them, i think that the best way could be shutdown the crack sites.

I don't want to shut down the crack sites because they provide me with a good service. I don't want to insert my game cd every time I want to play. That is why I have a hard disk. In my opinion the crack sites are not the problem. The problem is the software companies who force their customers to download a crack just so they can use the software they bought the way they want.

Exactly. The end-user license doesn't state that you MUST have the
CD in the drive to use their software, so I'm not breaking any laws
by using a NoCD crack with it.

Common!!
Just look the most downloaded cracks on every crack site and you will see that ANY of the top cracked was cracked because the CD!!

Check:

1. Windows XP Activation Crack
2. Windows XP Professional keygen
3. Windows XP SP1 Activation Crack
4. Nero Burning ROM v5.5.10.0
5. Windows XP CD-Key Generator
6. Clonecd 4.2.0.2
7. Windows XP Serial Full for SP1 *working*
8. Office XP
9. Opera 7 Final
10. microsoft office xp pro
11. CuteFTP 5.0 XP
12. norton antivirus 2003
13. WinZip 8.1
14. Windows XP pro 2600 crack & serial
15. Total Commander 5.50 32 bit
16. ACDSee v5.0 PowerPack Keygen - UCF
17. ACDSee v5.0 Keymaker - CORE
18. Adobe Photoshop 7.0
19. acdsee 5.0.0.0025
20. CloneCD 4.0.1.10
21. WinDVD Platinum
22. StyleXP v1.0 Final
23. Incredimail Xe
24. Adobe Illustrator 10.0
25. Macromedia Flash MX v6.0.25 Trial to Full
26. Age Of Mythology
27. CloneCD 4.xxxxx
28. Windows 98 Second Edition
29. Nero Burning ROM v5.5.9.14 Keygen - ORiON
30. Sim City 4

How many of them ask you for a CD inside the cdrom to work?

Maybe the 0.01% download a crack to use the software without the CD, the other ones (99.99%) are just thieves.

Several years ago I had the Chuck Yeager's AFT game. For copy protection it would ask something like this, "Type the third word of the second paragraph on page 17". Well, one day I of course lost the manual. Every time I wanted to play the game after that I would have to sit there and type "the" for 5 to 15 minutes. That was enough to sour me on copy protection forever.

If someone want's to buy your program, they are going to buy it. If someone doesn't want to buy it, they are going steal it. If they can't steal it due to copy protection then they are still not going to buy it. In my opinion the pain caused to your customers through poorly conceived copy protection greatly outweighs any benefits.
