...... (no UAC errors) so the compiler switches would not do anything more on yours.
I turned that monster off 5 minutes after Booting Vista up for the first time!

Anyone have any suggestions for additions and fixes? I need to keep busy next year.
And I need testing done to make sure it works on machines other than mine.
Anyone have time?

There is too much use of the Windows API in this one to be easily ported to Linux and I am totally unfamiliar with coding on the Linux platform and its' million varieties. It would be a nightmare!
I would rather continue on the Windows version with which I am familiar and get testing and ideas for that version.
But thanks for the idea.

I tried it on my Asus EEE PC 900 with Windows XP SP3 and the program won't start. I only get a Windows error saying the program has caused an error and needs to be closed.

I've tested it on SP1, SP2 and SP3 here and it ran well. Don't know anything about the EEE PC series. Is it a full version of XP or a cut down version specifically for it? Just hear rumours, no facts.
Srod said it even ran on Vista, although I don't have that myself.
Have to see if I can make a special debug version for you.

Would you try this executable? It has a debug trap that will hopefully catch something. Just drop it over the old EXE file.
It should tell you the source line number that is the problem.
