New Search Engine...
I performed the same search <Francis Patrick Dwyer> and it showed a picture of a pharmacist next to the link in wikipedia. I checked out the other pictures and references also. The pictures appear to be unrelated to the link they are posted next to. Perhaps they are an attribute of the links that hasn't been linked to any real data to display.pdwyer wrote:Hmmm, yes, the pics are bullshit!
I did a search on my grandfather as there is a wikipedia page on him and google will hit it as the first found link if you use his full name (I suspect that they favour wikipedia hits) and cuil found it and put a picture of a black guy in a sports stadium in next to the link text (which talks about a dead professor)
Kind of hard to get this pic

Also, Google has rebutted and said that "three times their index count would have been at the last time they published that count which was apparently 2005.
Still, worth keeping an eye on, I think it will improve
I did a search for purebasic and one of the results was this

I just did a search for two sites I created. The image next to the results are NOT non-related. They are images from the home pages.Little John wrote:Yep. Stupid and misleading.PB wrote:And what's with all
the non-related images next to the search results? Stupid.

Edit - Found another that used a pic from the home page. Search for "Scott Stephens Believe" - no quotes - and scroll to the bottom of the first page. Click on the image and you will see what I mean.

And how often ARE the images non-related to the results? And how can a user know, whether or not a particular image is related to the result next to it? The post by pdwyer concerning his grandfather says enough.I just did a search for two sites I created. The image next to the results are NOT non-related.
