Re: Games people play.
DarkStar One may be a spinoff of Freelancer, but Freelancer is yet another spinoff of Elite and not a very good one IMHO, too heavily scripted.LuCiFeR[SD] wrote:Gah! X3: The reunion is better than that Freelancer spinoff called DarkStar One
I got my copy at http://www.amazon.comPB wrote:Where the hell do you get this game? I can find neither a download link nor an online store or anything remotely like that, at the URL for the game.(
It's also available as a 4.3 GB download, I think I saw it at http://www.ascaron.com
You can download Elite plus for the PC here, unfortunately the link for elite isn't working

Well, I just quit playing DarkStar One in total frustration. Turns out what the demo doesn't show you is that the game's difficulty balance varies wildly from too easy to nearly impossible, mouse control is way too sensitive and no way to adjust it was provided, and several othe problems.
You can read my entire feedback about the game on their forums if you're interested:

Any one want DarkStar One?
This one will be on eBay shortly!

"Games people play": actually, that's actually a rather interesting book.

In fairness, X3, if you play the plot it is JUST as bad as DorkStar One, but X3 is open ended... you don't have to play the plot. But one bit of free advice, if anyone decided to buy it and are Starforce haters... just remember that with the latest Update to X3 Starforce is removed
